Before You Reach Out
Does Glacier work year-round?
Field crews work all seasons, with at most a brief layoff during the hardest frozen stretch. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Mountain Time. Permitted in-stream work windows shape each project’s schedule, and we plan around them from bid day.
Does Glacier work outside Montana?
Yes. Glacier Excavating takes on stream restoration and reclamation projects across Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. We work by region and watershed, and we mobilize fully crewed and equipped.
How do I request a project bid from Glacier?
Send your plans, specifications, and bid schedule through our contact form, or call (406) 297-3155. Bob Cuffe reads every package personally and responds with a line-by-line bid, or a straight no if the fit is wrong, so your bid calendar keeps moving either way.
Is Glacier Excavating licensed and insured?
Glacier Excavating, Inc. is fully licensed, bonded, and insured up to $1,000,000. Insurance documents and submittals come from our office promptly, handled by an office manager who has produced compliance paperwork since 2014.
What documents should we send for an accurate bid?
Plans with alignment and profile, detail sheets for structures, technical specifications, the bid schedule with quantities, permit conditions and work windows, and any material source or geotechnical information. Complete packages get tight, comparable bids.
Who actually runs a Glacier project?
Bob Cuffe, owner and president, coordinates every project with your oversight personnel and reads every bid personally. Project foremen Blaine Hubbard and Ed Schmit lead field operations. You deal with principals, not layers.
